It’s Texas Time

This came to us when we realized the estimated times of arrival and distances did not have a direct relationship in Texas. For example, signs that read “1 mi to next stop” was really 0.2 Miles and a 1 mile walk to grocery store was well over 30 minutes walk. We don’t mean to throw shade, Texas. We love y’all and can’t thank you enough for everything.

Here’s some highlights of the weekend in no particular order…

Decked out in Primal Wear on our way- early flight & bike boxes all packed and ready to go.

MS cookies from the VIP dinner and expo.

Rise and shine! Day 1- Let’s do this! Time to embrace the suck!

Day 1 breakfast. $20 oatmeal with banana, berries, almond butter, potatoes, and bacon. Breakfast of champions.

Morning sunshine! 🌞 This is our MS Champion bandana. It comes with us for each ride. If you or someone you know has MS, we would love to add them to our bandana and ride for them! Please drop us a line so we can add their name! 🧡🚴🏻‍♀️

Test

Smiles all around- riding strong on Day 1!

Day 1 friends – Jeri and John and a slick photobomb!

Texas sky at the end of Day 1. Gorgeous? Absolutely. But we are sunburned like no other.

Day 2 luggage is all packed for Austin! See you at the finish line!

Thanks to the crew at the Best Western for leaving us breakfast for our 4am wake up even though it was supposed to start at 6am. Thank you for leaving the Italian some Nutella 😂🤷🏻‍♀️

Day 2 starting line with Ed and Eduardo! Starting the day with smiles all around.

Day 2 finish line smiles.😁 Nailing 60 Miles at 18mph. #PassportProgram

2 girls, 2 bikes, 50 states with one down and 49 to go! 🧡🚴🏻‍♀️🇺🇸

Don’t Mess with these 2 girls. 💪💪🚵🏻‍♀️🚵🏻‍♀️

Post 160mile feast: Interior Mexican. It’s a thing and is not to be confused with Tex-Mex. #themoreyouknow

Car ride shenanigans. And yes Rachael is stuck between 2 huge packed bike boxes and all our luggage.. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hanging in Austin. We just missed Lance. 😮😆

One of Lance’s bikes at Mellow Johnny’s.

Caffeine.

The yellow jerseys of Lance Armstrong.

One of Lance’s bikes.

More of Lance’s bikes.

BBQ at Terry Black’s. Missing on far right is a huge pile of baked beans, shredded beef and sauce.

Austin airport waiting to board. One down 49 to go!

Thank you to all who made this possible from sponsors to donors, the MS Society, family and friends. Especially Michael Augustine, Jon Steppic, Chris Baer, and our TVR crew. We couldn’t do this without you.

To those living with MS, here’s to you. You are why we ride. Love to you all and see you when we land.

Dayle & Rachael 🧡🧡🚴🏻‍♀️🚴🏻‍♀️😘😘
